Call for Papers: Issue 19

Dia-noesis is also accepting submissions for Issue 19, dedicated to “Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence: Rethinking the Human and the Political”. This issue explores the philosophical dimensions of artificial intelligence. We seek contributions that go beyond the technical aspects of AI to address the deep conceptual, ethical, political, and anthropological questions its rise provokes.

Rather than viewing AI merely as a technological development, this issue treats it as a philosophical challenge—one that prompts us to revisit and rethink foundational ideas such as reason, agency, freedom, judgment, responsibility, and what it means to be human. How do artificial systems reshape human subjectivity, ethical reasoning, and political life? What new forms of power, vulnerability, and moral accountability emerge in the age of AI?

We welcome original and unpublished papers that engage critically and philosophically with AI. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
– Metaphysics and ontology of artificial minds
– Ethics of automation and algorithmic agency
– Political theory and governance in AI-mediated societies
– Philosophical anthropology and the changing contours of human identity
– Epistemological challenges posed by machine learning
– Philosophy of mind and the boundaries of cognition
– Intersections with philosophy of religion and historical traditions of thought.
